first ever forum post Ok

This is really scary as I have never posted to any forum but I am hoping somebody can help me with a really little problem. I bought my jeep several months and have enjoyed checking out the great OHV roads in Northern California. I like to take my dog but he is old and needs a ramp. I have taken out the back seats so he can travel back there. When my husband is along no problem he just lifts him in. On my own unless I park very carefully the darn back door on my jeep wrangler keeps on swinging closed. I can block it with my butt then the dog goes around the other side of the ramp and refuses to go up it. I am trying to figure out the best way to keep it open. Any suggestions for the easiest way gratefully recieved. I feel a bit silly as everybody has such technical questions

First off. Welcome to this great forum
No reason to be scared

This is the welcome area. You will have better luck in one of the model specific areas or general. I will still try and help.

I don't know who make them. There is a tailgate
Mechanism that holds it from closing,
I've also seen some do it yourself (Diy) jobs too.

Good luck

I don't know what model Wrangler you have but because this is the newbie check-in area, you may not get the answers you are looking for. I suggest you check out one of these forum areas, depending on your model and post your questions there, I think you'll get a better response.
