First Jeep, but always had Jeepers blood

I've just got my first Jeep, a 2001 TJ, a couple of months ago. I'm excited to start building it up. This isn't my first time around Jeeps. My father used to race them in the '60's, '70's, and into the '80's. He raced the Mint 400 and the SCORE Baja Series, and he was the last independent to reach the top three in points at the end of the '84 season, I think (I would have look at the article to be sure what year). I used to run around his off-road shop and would always try to "help." I have built a few street cars, but was never satisfied. Just having a stock Jeep I feel more satisfied than I ever did with a built car! Now I just need to meet some locals so I can get to know the trails around me!
