First time jeeper from the southwest

Just bought my first wrangler after wanting one since I was a kid. Its a 2006 Wrangler LJ, Silver /w black hardtop. PO installed a horrible 3" body lift to fit the 33x12.50s. Which are the first things to go as I research a good entry level lift kit. Any words of wisdom are welcome.

Went on a trail ride with ol skool 4x4 yesterday. Had a great time and learned a lot about my jeep. Now I really need to get working on my jeep.

Installed some new to me 2" lift coils today. Strangle the rear did not get any taller but that could just be the hardtop/ being a LJ. Going wheeling tomorrow before replacing my steering with ZJ parts, and modifying my 3" BL into a 1.25" BL.
