Exclamation Flat Towed Now Won't Park, Help!

So, I flat towed my 2008 Wrangler Unlimted (4dr) behind my RV. I thought I followed all of the great instructions on here but I guess I got confused. I left the transfer case in park and the regular transmission in neutral. Now, when I put the Jeep in park, it still rolls!

What the heck did I break?

I could swear it is transfer case I neutral and transmission in park. This disengages drivelines and keeps the transmission clutches and planetaries from free spinning while being towed.

There is no "park" on the transfer case...

You must have the transfer case in neutral, and the transmission in park if an automatic or any gear if a manual to flat tow a JK. Sounds like you never got the transfer case back in 2wd, 4lo or 4hi. You may have broken the plastic transfer case linkage bushing.

Oddly enough, the problem fixed itself and it parks properly now. Thanks for the warm welcome.

Welcome to the forum!!! And who says those are truly automatic transmissions. You have move the lever and there is nothing automatic about that.

Great news no damage!!!! Hopefully the rest of your fun with the JEEP will be better!!!
