Forum and Jeep Newb

Hello mudflingers! I'm a new 2012 JKU Freedom edition owner (I know, some people hate on JK, even more on JKU's.) I test drove her 3 weeks ago with 3 miles on it, and have over 2k. It's just that much fun to drive, especially on an empty beach for a first roadtrip for a little surf fishing.

I spent the last two years trying to figure out what Wrangler I wanted, trolled this and other forums a lot, then held out for the new powerplant and auto. I then spent the last 6 months looking for one with the right rear end and all the other goodies I wanted before I found her. She's a daily driver, but one that I get dirty more often than not fishing and hunting out of, and once I find some decent trails out here in SoMD that aren't behind locked fences, we'll see how often I can keep her from getting stuck.

Mostly stock for now, I have more interior accessories than mods, but she's only 3 weeks old. I'm already planning a Warn elite bumper and winch for the front, TF perf leveling kit, and some other things. I know, I know, don't buy the springs, you'll lift it someday and it's a waste! Why would I need a winch and better bumper on the mean streets of MD you ask? Winters spent in the Upper Penninsula Michigan where snowfall is measured in 10's of feet, and deer yard paths and long abandoned logging roads serve as passable routes come to mind.

I'll post pics in the nearish future.
Phil
