I purchased a 2000 Wrangler Sport, black with black hardtop and interior, from my brother, with only 55,000 original miles. Loaded with most options except auto transmission. Repairs already completed include pulling the engine and replacing all the freeze plugs as the one in the back of the head is leaking. Also new water pump and thermostat. Repairs not completed include replacing all the seals and clutch disc. I dropped both driveshafts and transfer case skid plate and will be removing rust from those pieces and parts of the frame where necessary. I am thinking of removing both differentials and having them sand blasted then primed and painted. I will also be replacing the windshild, fixing the leak in the vent and lastly, taking it to a body shop to repair the dent in the driver side quarter panel that occured when my brother wrapped it around a pole one winter.
I am new to Jeep but I have wrenched on numerous vehicles over the years. In addition to the Jeep I own a 2000 Miata, 1996 and 2003 Maxima and 2001 Sequoia, so I keep busy keeping those all running.
