From VA with love..

So, I sold my 1997 Jetta a few days ago to pick up this car. My reason for picking up this car is purely for its "fun" factor. I've never had a car like this before and was eager to try something new. Oh and the best part, everything works! manual windows, manual transmission, all original audio and engine parts. It was owned by a good lady friend of mine. I've known/seen the car for about 5 years now. Its an 02, she was the original owner, bought new right here in VA. The best part: it has 58900 miles!!!! She offered to me at a killer deal so I went with it. It runs great and its a blast to drive!

Just wanted to share my joy with you guys. I have a few plans for it, probably 32's and some all black wheels, hardtop..maybe a few lighting additions, nothing crazy. Not planning on off roading or "muddin", but looking forward to taking the top off to cruise around at the beach or OBX or vising Oregon Inlet in NC. Should be a blast!

Just for the records...I'm 19, I'm glad to say I paid for this car myself. I hope it lasts me a long time.

My TJ has 31s also. If you look at my Jeep's profile you can click on some full side shots.

Welcome to the Forum. I traded in a 99 Jetta for my brand new 2002 TJ. I'm running a 2" budget boost and a 1" body lift with some BFG AT KO's 32x11.5x15. The budget boost is really easy to slap in if you want some extra clearance.

I am also in VA, Newport News, my recommendation would be to try to get with a local club. You will learn alot that way and it's also a good way to score cheap parts off others when they upgrade.

Welcome! What part of VA are you in? I'm in the Richmond area. I noticed no inspection sticker/front license plate on the Jeep (which is not a car) : )

I'm in Richmond as well. What part of Richmond? I'm in short pump/west end. It didnt have inspection or front plate because the car was registered in TN. It had Tennessee plates and title. In TN, I don't think they have inspectins...so the OG owner told me. It's currently getting an inspection as we speak, so I should have it back by the end of the night.

And my bad guys/girls about the car comment..

Thanks for all the warm welcomes!

JD is a woman, but you still won't get a full body shot. If you're lucky she might show you a picture of her Jeep though...

Oh, and welcome to WF! As for the fender flares, set aside a Saturday, pull them off the Jeep, (It's a major PITA.) and paint them with Satin Black Krylon Fusion rattlecan paint. You'll be so glad you did.

Welcome to the forum. Hope your friend made you promise to keep that beautiful "T" on the front plate. Even with out it, though, it's a great looking ride.

I'll probably try to set aside some time to get that taken care of. That's the only thing right now that I want to focus on at the moment.

ahah I didn't know that JD was a girl. I just wanted a shot of your...jeep.
