Wink G'day everyone!!!

I have finally saved up enough cash to buy the car of my dreams, a wrangler ofcourse, and just wanted to get some expert opinions and wise up about things to look for in buying a second hand wrangler. First up, Hard top or soft top.....which is better?? I want to take the top off at any chance I have, and I am probably not the stongest girl in the world. But people have told me that the soft top is REALLY loud on the freeway......

Welcome to our little jeep world.

As long as you do not intend to have conversation as you drive a soft top is fine. It is much easier to take down or remove without someone having to help you. What part of Australia are you in? How's the weather? Maybe a top is a non-issue if you are in an area where you could get by with a bikini and no top ever!!!

Howdy

Get the sail cloth soft top and you'll be fine. Not sure what year they started putting them on the Jeeps from the factory.

Welcome. I believe '03 was the first year of the sail cloth. Of course you can get them from the catalogs too.

full doors

Also, I was wondering, wranglers with full steel doors, are they only found on a specific model, or a variation available on most designs?? Can you get them with soft top models??? Sorry I feel like that annoying little kid who asks WAY too many questions...

OK I'm no authority but, I think full doors came with the hard-top models and a soft-top was thrown in.
Soft-top models came with half doors.

So am I full of sh!t or what guys.

Soft top could come either with half or full doors. It just depends on the build I guess... or the configuration it was ordered in.
