Glad to find this forum

I live in west texas. I have a 98 TJ sport. I have owned a 91 before getting this one. I have just started with adding things to my 98. I recently purchased a diamond plate kit with the corners, rocker panels, back plate, sway bar plate. As well as a new Rampage soft top with slightly tinted windows. Here in west texas if you can see thru it its only slightly tinted. I also purchased a 3 inch body lift kit. I am planning on lifting it with a suspension lift another 4 inches at least. I currenlty have 30x9.5 tires on it. I plan on eventually putting on 37x12.5's. I was thinking of getting some spacers for the larger tires to add some to the turning clearance so the tires don't rub. If anyone knows about this please let me know before I buy them. I have been adding up most of the things I want to put on it over the next year and it comes to over 10,000 dollars. Gets kinda spendy, but its worth it. There is a place not too far from where I live where, for only 10 dollars a day, I can play all day. I plan on putting a lot of stainless steel parts on like hinges and other things in the next couple of months. So far just the entry gaurds are stainless steel. Other than the diamond plate of course. I hope to have a pic of my jeep listed soon. I may take one this weekend and put it on here. I am always interested in learning about new things to add to my toy. Thanks and I'll be here when I'm not playin in the sand.

Welcome to this forum, glad you found us. Always glad to hear about someone else that has caught the mod bug. If you don't mind a suggestion, keep the body as low as possible, and do your lift in the suspension. To fit 37" tires I would suggest a 6" long arm lift, and at the most, a two inch body lift. That should give you plenty of clearance for the tires. I know the 6" lift is very pricey, but well worth it, if you are going that big. You will get better articulation when your lift is mostly in your suspension. Have fun with this build, and definately show us some pictures along the way.

Talking Here's some Pics

I just installed the diamond plate rear corners, rocker panels, and sway bar cover. I will be putting on the front fender covers as soon as I can get them. I haven't put the 3 inch body lift on yet. It should be arriving in the mail by thursday. It will be on by next saturday. I put on a 1 1/2 inch seat lift. It really makes a big differance. I also installed stainless steel entry gaurds. I riveted all the stainless steel on. I put stips of double sided tape between the diamond plate and the body then riveted it on. I put on a 15 foot fiberglass cb antana. Mostly so I can find the jeep if I walk away from it out in the Misquite tree forests around here. The drivers and passenger windows are still sewn closed. I used to live south of New Orleans. During the Hurricane I ended up not being able to leave so all the plastic windows got blown out either by zippers giving out or just the plastic cutting. The top was torn up as well. This is a new Rampage Soft Top with slightly tinted windows. I just put it on 3 Days ago. I plan on getting the Rampage Upper Door Sliders and putting them on as well. According to Dave at Rampage they should be on the market sometime this fall. I want them to match the top so I am going with their product. I 4 wheelin at a place near Stanton Texas, about 20 miles from my place. It only cost 10 per day to play around out there. Its not too bad, nothing real major as far as rocks tho. I don't have the name to the place. I call it bills place. He mostly has motorcycle tracks and places for motorcycles to play. I plan on putting on in the future
Blue/Black Neoprene Seat Covers
Tow Hooks Front/Rear
Slider Upper Door Windows
Stainless Steel Hood Kit
New Chrome Mirrors ( already have the ones for when I take the doors off.)
New 3 Row Radiator
Stainless Steel Light Bar
adding 6 Offroad Lights
Tube Front and Rear Bumpers
Snorkel
Step Bars
4 inch Suspension Lift
Change the Rear Differential Gears ( Not sure what to yet)
Putting in a new Engine ( has 110,000 on this one.still runs great tho)
7 inch Fender Flares
New Black Front Grille ( to replace the dented one from the tree that hit it during the hurricane)
Stainless or Chrome front Grille Gaurd
37 inch tires ( not sure what kind yet tho)
Cargo Rack ( really like the Generation 11 Sports Rack)
Winch
Trunk ( most likely make my own)
and of Course Skid Gaurds.
I plan on putting all these things on in the near future. Not necessarily in this order tho. Enjoy the pics. More to come.

Looking good man. They will definately see you coming and going. I don't think you'll have any problem finding your Jeep amoungst the Mesquite trees, just look for the brightest spot on the horizon..........lol.

Almost forgot, after you upload your pictures, close that window, and then re-open the attachment button, and insert attatchments.
