I'm in the market for a new vehicle and originally was thinking of getting something in the small SUV category (Rav4, Forrester, etc) but one day the Wrangler popped into my head and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it!! Ever since then, I seem to see them EVERYWHERE in and around NYC!!
I do plan to go take one for a test drive in the near future.
It will be quite a different ride for me as I've been driving a Honda Civic for the past 6 years. (before that I had a Cherokee Laredo which I loved, got 225k out of it!)
Can anyone recommend a dealer in the tri-state area?
I was thinking of going for an '09 as I'd like to try and get as good a deal as I can, but I'm open to a '10 as well.
I'm from Yonkers and bought a brand new '12 Wrangler from Riverdale Jeep down on 240th and Broadway. I found them through truecar.com and i bought a base sport for about a $1000 under invoice. If you do it through them you'll probably deal with Bobby whose their Internet sales manager. I was then put in touch with Lou and they were all really great there. You can go elsewhere if you want (I'm not making money off it haha) but I had a real good experience with them. I know they have some used ones as well so you can check into their inventory. Either way where ever you go good luck!
What do you want to be when you grow up son?
I want to be a fireman!
Sorry, you can only do one or the other: Grow up or be a fireman!
I'm from Westchester, and I got my Jeep used, not through a dealership. But, I went once to the dealership in New Rochelle, on the post road (maybe its Larchmont, but right around the border) and at least the guys in the service department were complete idiots, so I would not recommend going there. Maybe the people in sales are a lot nicer, but i did not get a favorable impression.
Drive it like you rented it, not like you stole it. Cus if you stole it, you'd be driving 5 mph below the speed limit and using your turn signals.
