Well, hauling a 26 foot ladder sure is interesting. Plus I get lots of looks driving around with a bunch of ply wood lashed to the top of a soft top! Btw, those things are more durable than some people think.

Welcome to the Impractical Life!

In so many ways a Jeep is not traditional, but what freedom it provides! There's nothing like removing the doors and the top and getting out in the sun (although I think Oregon is like here in the Appalachian Mountains - we only get an average of 143 days of sunshine per year). When I had my first TJ (I now have an Unlimited), I strapped everything imaginable to it from the lumber yard or the hardware store. And, you're right about how tough they can be! Again, welcome to the "zoo" life of Jeepin!
