Talking Greetings from the Green Mountain State!

Hello all,
I'm brand new to the forum, although I've been snooping around reading your posts for months now. Anyway, I had to sell my beloved CJ-7 when the kids were young and in car seats and I have missed being a jeep owner ever since! I told my wife that when the kids were older I WOULD be getting another one. I started looking 3 or 4 months ago for a new jeep. After lots of research I decided that what I wanted was a '92-'95 wrangler YJ with the 4.0 and the AX-15 5 spd. (I'm not dissing any other jeep though -- love the CJs and TJs too). Well, I had a very hard time finding one with a 6 cylinder! Every one I found had the 2.5! To make a long story short, I finally found what I was looking for. Saturday I will be picking up my 1995 Wrangler YJ 4.0 5 speed. She is definitely a project, which is what I was looking for (I may be demented but I miss wrenching and working on my CJ as much as I miss driving her!). So I am sure I'm going to need advice from all the members and their many years of collective jeep experience that are on this forum. Looking forward to getting to know everyone and REALLY psyched about FINALLY being a Jeep owner again!

Welcome! I was a long time CJ man myself. Ain't it funny...the CJ guys hated the YJ when it came out and now must of us are driving them.
Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.

Thumbs up Sooo . . . it's a '94

I picked up the wrangler today! Turns out it's a '94, not a '95. Doesn't make a difference to me. I researched it and no major changes from '94 to '95. Thanks for the warm welcome from everyone. As I said before, she's definitely a project (what Jeep isn't?) and I know I'll need help/advice from the people on this forum. Talk to you soon.
