Hard top over soft top

Hello,

We just had a soft top installed in our 2012 Wrangler Sahara 2 door. The dealer says he can't put the hard top back on over the soft top/hardware so my wife can drive home. Is that true? What happens in the winter when we want to put the hard top back on? I can't imagine the entire soft top and hard ware has to be removed to put the hard top back on. Any help here?

Thank you,

Nicolejeep

So the story is, you can fit the soft top on under the hard top but it has to be down and I think most of the hardware has to come off. If you would have bought one with the dual top group you can actually see the soft top installed under the hard top but they tell you when you get home you need to remove it out of the jeep. You wont want to have it in there anyways. Taking the soft top and all its hardware off isnt hard, so you can go back to the dealer and get your hard top, unless you have a truck and trailer or something.

Dumbass should have told you that before he took it off and put the soft top on. Its a super tight fit to have the top down under the hard top. Not good for it from what I have heard. Hope this helps and welcome to the forum!

Thank you everyone for your help and suggestions. I do have a truck and was able to bring Nicole's hard top back home. We'll get it figured out.

Thanks again and have a good day,

Nicole's Husband
