have my eye on a jeep

Hey guys, I'm new to the site here. The last couple of days i have been looking at a 2003 Wrangler X. It has 71,250 miles on it, vehical is very clean, Hardtop, cruise control, 4.0 liter with a 5 speed trans, full doors. I took it out for a test drive late Saturday afternoon. It seemed to handle very good, nice and tight. I do have a few questions though, hope you all don't mind.
1. Should i worry about buying a vehical with 71,250 miles on it?
2. How long do these engines last?
3. I'm looking for reliability also, Are these reliable?
4. Are there any known problems i should look for or expect?

Reason im asking all this is in 2004 i bought my 1st brand new car, 2004 Pontiac Grand AM GT, I wanted to get away from other peoples problems from buying used. I love the car but i am disappointed in the reliability it has become. Its been in the shop 4 times in the last year, and i have only 17,588 miles on the car. I only put on about 6k a year. This car has regular service with oil changes every 3 thousand miles. I feel i have gotten a lemon and im very disappointed in this vehical lately.

For years i have always liked the Jeep Wrangler. I figured since im upset with my current car and i want to go back to a 4X4, i may as well get what i have been looking at for years. I just don't know anyone who has one that can tell me how reliable they are. I do plan on buying a service warranty if i do buy this on Monday.

So please tell me what you all think. Also the place is having a sale on there cars and is asking $13,495 for the Wrangler. I've looked up blue book on it and its about a thousand less then book. OH this Wrangler is white, with a black hard top, Brand new tires, (Firestone Destination). Any and all comments apreciated.
Thanks.

Sounds like a good deal to me. 4.0 with 72k miles is still a baby. The only problem your going to have with a Jeep is deciding which mod to do next.

Well i guess in stuck with my grand am for a little while longer. The dealership and i just couldn't come up with the right numbers to make a successfull trade. About $1,500.00 difference and i wasn't gona budge and the dealer wasn't gona either. I will have my Jeep Wrangler one of these days soon though. I just have to shop around a little more. Who knows maybe i'll just decide to get a brand new one instead of trying to find a good used one for cheap. Hope you guys don't mind me hanging around though. I would like to learn as much as possible, maybe one of you guys can point me in a right direction on finding a wrangler close by me.

Welcome to the site.

Just be patient and the jeep with your name on it will show up.

Buy what you want, don't settle for less. I looked for a year before I bought my jeep.
