Hello everyone!

I am basically new to wheeling, Just started in the spring of 2005. I drive a 2003 Rubicon 33" Thornbirds 4.5" Teraflex long arm lift. GREAT SPORT, Great Jeep!! I love them both!! My wife also wheels.... in fact she is a wheeling junkie. She'll start to shake if she can't get out wheeling, the only thing (other then wheeling) that helps is if I bolt on new wheeling accessories on her Jeep the shaking will stop for a short time. Now back to me... I have always enjoyed working on cars and now with 2 jeeps that we wheel I get to do a lot of what i enjoy By trade I'll an Electrical Engineer but spend equal time working on the machanical side of machines. well, got to run.

That's alright, mine has taken a liking to driving... Kind of have mixed feelings about that, I love the fact that she wants to go wheeling, but it makes me a little nervous when you put a novice behind the wheel of a locked rig with 35's and point them at a rock face!

Thanks you all! Glad to be here... seems like a great forum. I think I'll stick around awhile. I do have to say the worse thing about my wife wheeling is that she is better at it then I am. There is nothing worse then struggling over a big rock with my 2003 Rubicon with 4.5 long arm lift scratching and clawing all the way, and then my wife jumps up on the rock with her opened geared 3" lifted 2003 X like its flat ground. Truthfully I'm proud of the way she can wheel I just wish I had her skills, luck, or what ever it is that she has.

You're a lucky guy, Frank. I figured she was pretty good from what I have picked up from her post. My wife only wants ro ride in my Jeep occasionally just to look cool. She does THAT pretty well.

Yes Jack she is, but I don't know her as firstaidTJ I only know her as Queen of the rocks. That first aid thing is false advertising... I can't even get a band aid when I need one. All I get is SORRY! I'm off duty!

It broke my heart...

Welcome

Welcome to the site, Frank. Like you, my wife thoroughly enjoys the off-road aspect of jeepin'. She'll be attending her first Jamboree with me this year with her own Jeep. I have to admit, my wife is a sports "fanatic" which is a tremendous blessing. I never have to ask if I can watch a sporting event; she'll already have it on!

I just had a conversation with my 13 yr old step-dgt last night: wouldn't it be great to have a Jeep when she gets her license? With a big grin, she said yes!!! BTW, we took her wheeling for the first time on last month's ride...could have had something to do with it

as a medical professional, I must warn you that "a bumpy ride will induce labor" is an old wives' tale

That's why it didn't work. We weren't really trying to induce labor. It was just a joke that my wife started to point out how badly my jeep rode.
