Hello from Alberta Canada....

Hello everyone. I own a 94' jeep wrangler that I brought up from Oklahoma to Northern Alberta packed with three kids, three bullmastiffs and a U-Haul trailer carrying 33inch mudders. This is my baby. She has been off for a year in Northern Saskatchewan in storage. She recently made her way here a month ago. I am looking forward to spending my paychecks on giving her a complete make over in hopes i can bog with her next year.

How the hell did you fit 3 kids and 3 bull mastiffs in there. Couldn't you have left the kids behind.

Welcome the forum.

Well than, you'd be surprised to know Gordon, I am a women... I will try to track down some pictures that were taken along the way. One dog laid on the side of the jeep over the rear fender, the other laid over the other back fender, and my male spent his time couped in the front seat between my oldest's legs. He never manged to get stuck until just over the Canadian border. I had to undo the nuts on the passanger seat b/c he got his big goofy head stuck. He was still a pup at the time. Both my girls were full grown though. The real trouble was trying to get them all into hotel rooms. I made it to Montana fairly easily enough but stayed the night in a town S. of the border and had a minor melt down when the hotel was so big, with so many wings, I got lost in the hallway. A security guard had to come rescue me. He was a bit taken back when he saw the dogs. Only issue had with the soft top was the littest one throwing her brother's shoes out the window.

I bought that jeep with just over 100,000 miles, it know has 250,000miles in two yrs. That was with one year being in storage. She has always done good by me. Compared to the new diseal GM truck I will always choose her anyday of the week.

Here are some pictures of the dogs. I sold the stud in March to be shown as I promised when I bought him but had no interest in doing so. I was talked into selling the brindle female to a really great show/breeding home around the same time. The picture I posted is her first litter born about 6wks ago. I imported them b/c of lacking bloodlines here in Canada. I had my own well anticipated litter come 2wks ago but due to vet's error I lost well over $15,000 dollars in pups in a space of a week. They were to be the first of my line. The mum is now spayed so can't try to reproduce the litter.

Great photos! Sorry about the vet screw up, also about the gender mistake on my part. Your a better woman than most.
Keeping a puppy?
Lots of work but the emotional return is priceless, and the loss devistating. good luck with both the jeep and the 4 legged ones.

I have worked hard for over three years to start my own line. The vet distroyed all hope for that. She doped my dog so hard for a c-section she hit the pups too. The bitch stayed down for over 48hrs. The pups were affected too much causing both mum and pups unable to eat or even deficate. My bitch never went to the bathroom for 5days. They slowly starved to death dispite all efforts made to ensure their survival. They also suffered colic like symptoms and their intestines twisted. I had my red, which is what I wanted, but she died a week and a day due to lung failure. I had to have another vet put her to sleep. I syringed fed her every 2hours, numerous middle of the night visits to the clinic and it still wasn't enough. A dream 5yrs. in the making lost b/c of vet error.

Not a nice story, do you plan on ever showing or breeding again?
We have bin very lucky with vets through the years. Even in this very small town there is a very good vet. Before we decided to move here we checked the vets out. Strange though we never checked out the human doctors, guess our dogs are pritty inportant to us. Can't imagin not having a dog as shotgun when I go out in the woods.
Jeeps and dogs just go together for us.
How is your jeep?

Hey Bearbait! Love your name, welcome to the forum! Sorry to hear about your dogs. :/ My mom was an "accidental" breeder of min pins. At least one out of every litter her female had had to be syringed fed. Some of us just love our dogs I guess.

I checked the vaccum seal and found that may be my problem with the 4x4 so this site has already helped me out.

I am currently trying to convince a friend to drive down to Oklahoma and get us both a pup. I am sitting on pins and needles waiting for his call or email to let me know if he is going. He has waited over two years for a pup from me.

My girl, Kenya the tan, is my travel buddy. Even when she was really down over the loss of the pups and tryng to come around from the dope she wanted to take a spin. She actually knows the difference between the key sets. She knows the jingle of the jeep, personal truck and the work truck.

Thanks guys, who said you couldn't be sensitive....
