My name is Dave and I live in Japan (for several years now) but call Hawaii home. I've gotten a great deal of support from this site (as a visitor) because all my previous Jeep experience revolved around CJs with all the emissions yanked out of them. The fuel-injected TJ is such a godsend, and I'll never go back... but man... when there IS a problem you just have to get help from those who "know." This site has helped me more than once. And a few times I made mistakes, realized I goofed, and came to the site to confirm.
I love Jeeps and feel so passionately about them that I honestly don't understand why anyone would drive anything else. If I won the lottery tomorrow I would still drive my 2004 Sport... albeit with new axles, wheels, tires, lift, bumpers, skids, seats, cage, winch(es), jacks, air tanks....
I look forward to 'learning as I go' and hope you'll all be patient with me as I ask a lot of questions. I really want to learn my TJ inside out, but I'll admit there is a lot I don't know.
My other passion is guitars and the endless quest of learning how to play them, so if anyone wants to talk guitar or music then drop a line. And better yet all you Jeepers in Japan drop a line and let's go wheel!!
