Hello From Northern Utah

New here from Northern Utah. I am a mechanic by trade and have enjoyed many different types of vehicles in the past 20+ years of wrenching. I am also a weldor/fabricator and enjoy building many things for my vehicles. We have been fortunate enough to have several of our toys featured in a few magazines over the years.

My wife and I have had Jeeps for about 18 years now starting with a 1991 XJ then a few years later upgrading to a 1996 ZJ (which our son now drives) and then in 2009 a second 1996 ZJ.

We were looking for a vehicle to tow behind our coach after giving my wife's ZJ to our son three years ago. I have wanted a JKU ever since they came out in 2007 but they were out of our budget. We bought the second 1996 ZJ with the intent that it would last us a few years until we could save up for a JKU. We finally were able to start looking late this past summer and in November bought a 2011 JK Unlimited Rubicon.

My wife, son and I have thoroughly enjoyed this vehicle not only driving it but building it the way I have had it in my head for the past several years.

I enjoy everything about Jeeps and enjoy talking Jeeps with others. I look forward to meeting and/or conversing with many of you about our Jeeps.

Mike.

P.S. Can anyone point me in the correct place to start a build thread. I would love to show off the work that I have done to my Jeep so far over the past couple of months but I do not know which section to put it in.

Thanks.

On edit. Here is a picture of my Jeep as it sits now. I will start a build thread shortly.

Thanks everyone.

Can someone tell me what section would I put my build thread in? Would I just put it in the JK section or is there a specific part of the forum for build thread?

Mike.

Welcome to the Forum Mike

The first word I thought of when I saw that pic can't be posted here
That's one of the best looking JKs that I've seen.

You could start a build thread in either the JK section or the Builders section of the forum.

Thanks. I will post my build thread in the JK section tomorrow when I get to my pictures. I am pretty proud of some of the little details that I have done to it. I hope you will look for it and let me know what you think.

Thanks again,

Mike.
