Hello from the UP!

I am a new jeep owner from michigan's upper peninsula and I live near the mackinac bridge. If anyone in the area knows good trails and wants to go wheelin sometime (maybe in the spring so there is more mud) please contact me!
Muddy Marley (girlfriend named it, not sure about that as a final name) is a 04 tj with the I6, manual transmission, a kick ass bumper and 2 inch body lift riding on 33's. Im going to coat the undercarriage soon, and I am planning a winch purchase after christmas, and while I have read many reviews, feel free to post some personal preferences or experiences with various models/brands. Im thinking the smittybilt x20 right now.
I cant wait to get her dirty!

I was told "you might not know the first thing about jeeps right now, but thats ok, most of us are still struggling with the second thing"

Welcome to the forum.
I can see the bridge from where I work and live when it isn't snowing.
Check out michiganwheelers.com. They do trips to Drummond, Badlands, rocks and valleys and up to the Soo Canada. Not many trails in the immediate area since most are for quads and snowmobiles. You don't want to get caught on the wrong trail with DNR.
There are a few two track trails near Pellston, Cheboygan and more when you get closer to West Branch.
Before you undercoat it rinse the frame out over and over again to get all the crud out of it and rinse it religiously if you want it to last up here.
