Hello...new owner, from Taiwan....with pics.

Hello all....just wanted to say Hi.

Just bought a Jeep, but living here in Taiwan.

Don't know too much.....but 1st and foremost, can someone point me in the right direction, on getting a little more out of the 2.5L engine.

My car is a 1989 Wrangler YJ, ....pic

Was recommended to this site....from the guys at AR15.com

thanks
paul

Welcome to the board!
As far as getting a little more out of the 4-banger, it seems pretty common to swap the throttle body with one from a 4.0 6-cylinder.

Thanks, any year 4.0 throttle bodies I should look for?

I'll check ebay....thanks guys! And one fellow, suggested 4.10 gearing, how does that affect freeway speeds. Somehow, guessing my rpms would be higher.....or am I forgetting something.

I'm not sure about the throttle body years. Someone will know.
Yes gearing would also greatly help. Yes it would make your RPMs higher for the same speed, but when you get bigger tires, it counters that effect to a point. Even more reason to have gears; if you have tires and no gears, it will be even more gutless.

There is a little, jeeps here, go for inbetween 2000-3000 for 10+ year old car.

But most I've met, they have massive snorkels on their jeeps, and do river crossings.

I"m a bit afraid of getting wet......still looking around, its a pretty big island.
