hello new to this, have problem please help!

hello my name is jawhn i live in pa. I recently traded in my mint 2000 jeep wrangler for a 2007 jeep wrangler unlimited x. And now the nightmare begins, since day 1 the passenger door leaks, down the door handle...we have had rain the last 2 days and this morning i shopvacd almost 2 inchs of water from the front passenger floor. I have had this jeep for a month now and have had it back to the dealer 4 times to have this fixed, and no sucess..they added foam under the top corner of the top, still no help..they told me its a jeep thing and pretty much to deal with it..any help? suggestions?

It IS fixable, and the dealer has NO EXCUSE...it is NOT a 'jeep thing and live with it'...I have a 2003 rubicon, had a 2000 sahara, swap softtop to hardtop and half doors to solid doors twice a year on the rubicon, and never had ANY leak problems on either vehicle.
Don't know ANYBODY in the area that does, either! Something is NOT fitting right and that's the plain and simple truth. Be firm with the dealer, and ask them for PROOF FROM THE FACTORY in writing showing that door leakage 'is a jeep thing'....and if they can't provide it, get the name and contact info on the Chrysler area factory rep and complain to HIM/HER IN WRITING and keep a copy of all complaints yourself.
NO ONE should have to live with this problem!

sorry to hear the issues-and kinda agree with NHrubi----it shouldn't leak. I have never had any issues from something like that and have switched from 3 different types of upper doors and tops on my '04 and my '94 never leaked when I went from summer time Bikini top back to hard top.

How about a little more info--type of doors type of top---where it is leaking---you said door handle but don't think it is leaking there, maybe showing there?

Give us some info we MAY be able to help.

its a 4 door soft top...almost looks like its leaking from the top corners of both front doors where it meets the windshield...both sides leak at the front doors...same spot...no problems with the back...the dealership said they replaced the header seal and both front door seals..and are now pushing me away as they want nothing to do with it now..

Welcome to the forum! Good luck with the leak and don't let the dealer stick it to ya.

Sorry but on this one I will be no help-I had hoped that some other members would chime in with a fix. My TJ has soft uppers and therefore I have no experience with your type of top. Good Luck.
