I'm Garrett. Drummer, ER doc, and now a JKU owner. (o: My interest in off-roading started a bunch of years ago when my college roommate took me out to the desert in his grand cherokee. Since then I have had a succession of cars that were practical but unfulfilling. For this most recent purchase, I spent days (no, not a couple hours per day for days, but DAYS) making a cost analysis spreadsheet ('cause I'm a geek like that) and what it came down to was that I had to choose a vehicle that I wouldn't mind driving for more than 5 years. There was only one on my list that is a) timeless, b) reliable enough to last that long, and c) I don't think I'll get bored with. So I got a honda civic. Just kidding of course (o;
We took it up Figueroa Mountain already and had a blast. Looking forward to weekend camping, lots of modifications, and years of topless motoring. If you're visiting Solvang, CA, and see a guy in scrubs grinning ear to ear while driving his bright red wrangler, it's me -please wave!
