Hi from a Newbie, I want to do a 4.0L EFI swap

I'm new to the forum. I recentley bought a '88 Sahara of of my brother. It needs some engine work but it was the right price. How hard is it to put a 4.0L and auto from a '99 Cherokee XJ into the Wrangler (my Dad has a spare in the garage)? Does anyone know of a great link for this? How hard is the wiring to do this?

Welcome to the site

Honestly it can be done but it will require alot of wiring and computer swapping to get an EFI 4.0L to swap in and run right. And if the 99 Cherokee had PATS (I know thats what Ford calls it not sure what Jeep cause it, mabey the same thing) then it could be a paid to wire and get past that security system.

Im not enteirly sure on everything about swapping motors in Jeeps tho. If you get a mustang and wanna swap a motor shoot me a pm LOL

But it can be done with time and patience.
