Hi From Ireland

Hi,

Just wanted to say a quick "hello to all from Ireland"...

I have always been an admirer of these Jeeps and now i think it is time to try source one.

Could i ask for a small bit of help...

1. Is there an existing thread that explains / compares all of the Wrangler models

2. I was on holidays last year and i saw a Wrangler that had low doors (i presume there is a name for that) and a no roof or back (presume there is another name for that). It also had a folding down windscreen (can there be another name for that)

It looked like the following jeep, however i know the one in this photo is a not a Wrangler, it is a lowered Willy Jeep...

What Wrangler model is similar or closest to he jeep in the above photo, thanks in advance for your help... really looking forward to the forum and hopefully a jeep soon

Slainte, mo chara!!
I've got family in Ireland, my Uncle works at the Shannon airport.

What is pictured there is an aftermarket body, but the closest to the original style Jeep is the old CJ, which basically stood for "Civilian Jeep". There aren't any models available to the public with fixed doors/no doors, the closest thing you can get is half doors and remove them yourself. Here's a good article on the history of the Jeep: Jeepin.com » Jeep History
