Hola from Texas!

I am Lesley from west Texas. I don't own a Jeep, yet! I've always wanted a Wrangler but at that time, it was not safe for me because I was not an experienced driver and I loved to drive fast. I was young back then but now I am a responsible driver. Last week, I went to see three four-door Wranglers, they are so gorgeous! I love two doors, but it is not fun to wait for the person to get in before you could get in. I have '93 Chevy p/up (Show Truck USA). I really love my truck, it's been good to me, never has trouble with the engine or anything for thirteen years. It roars and people love it. I really am having a hard time letting it go. It will be sold to my friend in Las Vegas.

I went to see two dealers to find my baby Wrangler. They couldn't take my order until next year and the Wrangler I wanted won't be ready till in April or May. I want a 4-dr, black, half door, soft top, automatic transmission Rubicon. I was really bummed. I was looking forward to have my Rubicon for Christmas.

I've enjoyed reading the posts and viewing the pictures. I hope I will be posting some pictures of my Wranlger with you soon!

Lesley

What Scout said; he is from Midland and I'm in San Antonio but born in El Paso; can't get much more WEST than that!

Thanks for making me feel so welcome!

I am from El Paso but not born here. I was born and grew up in Illinois. El Paso is a cute city! People are so friendly.
I visit San Antonio annually. It is a beautiful city! My sister has been begging me to consider moving there. I haven't decided yet whether to move or not. I like going to Juarez, Mexico to eat tacos or sea food sometimes. They make really delicious food that you won't find them here in the US.

Thanks again for the warm welcome!

Come Jeepin' in San antonio in the Spring!

Have you looked at the Texas Spur Jeep Jamboree Thread?

You should come out to the Texas Hill Country and wheel with a few of us.

I love the food in Juarez too just the other day I was thinking about a Sandwich from Fred's Sandwich Shop.

I have read the posts in Texas Spur Jeep Jamboree thread. I wish I could join you guys! I don't have my Rubicon yet. It won't be available until in April or May. boo hoo. If there is an event after April or May and is a great off road trail for my four-door Rubicon, please let me know!

I have never heard of Fred's Sandwich Shop. I'll have to look it up.

I enjoyed visiting your site!

Texapple, thanks for the welcome! Love your user name!

Simple Scout, thank you! I read the wrong thread. I hope that I’ll have my Rubicon by April so that I could register in advance. That would be a birthday present from me to me.

JeepTales, every summer, my family and I get together on a Sunday and have a cook-out party, enjoying eating my father’s steaks. Always am looking forward to the summer. I don’t eat meat very often so it is always a special treat to eat yummy steak! The pictures you posted... that is a torture!

bluvikng, I have been eating restaurants in Juarez since I was a little girl. Maybe it is my lucky stars but I never got sick. I don’t eat food from street vendors, though. Whenever I feel like eating out for breakfast, I go to Mazatlan restaurant. They have good buffet. I’ll bet that some of you will say ew! But they sometimes serve cow tongue with spicy tomato sauce. Seriously, guys, it is really delicious.

Going to Juarez is never a problem. My family and I had road trips in Mexico many times—Chihuahua, Gomez Palacio, Guadalajara, Guanajuato, Mazatlan, and Juchipila (Zacatecas) and always enjoyed the road trips. I remember when we went to Guanajuato for the first time, there were a bunch of kids running on the street begging tourists to hire them to be their tourist guide. Our guide was an 11-year-old boy. We were not familar with the city and he was very helpful to show us around in the city.

Possible Good News!

Laki, I don't want to get your hopes up too much, but I spoke with my Jeep dealer last week and he told me they were being told by DC that the special order time was running about 8 weeks. These guys have always been pretty right on with me in the past so I hope I'm passing along good info to you. We'll say a prayer that it's 8 weeks instead. They did tell me that the hard top has been "suspended" due to production problems but the soft top (what you ordered) is still on track. Hope we're right so you can get on the road ASAP.
