I live in central NY and I have a 92 wrangler that I am just crazy about, even though she is slowly rotting away on me.
I use it for a daily driver and to push and pull things. We have a farm and I use it for all sorts of chores. I was using it the other day to drag some giant tree root balls I had pulled out with the tractor a while back over to the burn pile for example.
I have removed the back seat and built a wooden deck that goes over the top of the frame. This has a trap door in it so I can access the lower "trunk" space both from the rear end or the top. This gives me lots of space down below for tools, chains, come alongs, and other still I always keep with me, and the top space is like a little hatch back for hauling groceries etc. For bigger stuff I have a few trailers I pull with it.
In much and sand mine is unstoppable, but she don't do so good in the snow. Even with a lot of weight in her. I have been told this is from the large wide tires I run with.
