Question I am a newbie and love my Jeep

Hello everyone, I am Carl, from North Alabama. I own a 97 Sahara hard top, metalic green with tan top. Would put a picture here but the file is too big. There hasn't been much done to it yet, other than new Gun Metal light covers on the headlights, markers, and tail lights. I think that my next project to save up for will be either to linex the tub in a matching tan color or to get some bushwacker fender flares, since my matching green ones are fading. Either way it is a long way off due to lack of money and I'm in college and married. I do not really take my Jeep off road, so about 99% of you will most likely not like me. But I have always wanted a Jeep and as of about a year ago my wish came true. My Jeep has the beautiful in-line 6 engine in it, which means if you put gas in it, it wont let you down. I'm not a big technical buff so that is about all I know about the engine, besides the fact that mine has been going strong for over 102,000 miles. Anyways, hope to talk to all of you much much more over the next little bit, see ya soon.

By the way, I can't get my pictures to scale down small enough to fit the requirements, anyone know how to shrink them down so that I can share them on this site????

welcome aboard carl!! it's all good if you don't take it off road that much. mine hasn't seen real off roading in well over a year. you're a jeep owner, which puts you in good company around here....however you drive it. and as far as the files. i am in MN right now, but you are welcome to email the file to me and i'll shrink it down and post it when i get home on Tuesday. welcome again!!!

Welcome aboard boss. We like all jeep people on here no matter if you wheel your jeep or not. Hell, I see stock jeeps or lightly modified ones on the road and most of the time I think how much easier my life was when my jeep was stock. Then I almost roll it think how much more fun it is now. Looking forward to hearing more from you and don't be afraid to ask any questions about your jeep.

Welcome to this forum, and all things Jeep. Your statement is simply not true,"so about 99% of you will most likely not like me".
Owning a Jeep is a personal decision, and what you do with it, it also your choice. Just because some of us are a little crazy about the ability of a Jeep, certainly does not make anyone that likes to keep all four tires on the ground, unlikeable. This is a place that all Jeep owners, regardless of wheeling preference, can get together, and talk about Jeeps in general. So enjoy this site, and the knowledge that the members have, and have a great time, with like minded folks.

I finally figured out how to post a picture. So here goes. It looks kinda distorted, but you get the sense of my baby anyways. This picture was taken right before I put my gun metal stainless steal light gaurds on. Try waiting two months on your first modification, waiting sux. I will try to put a new pic on my avitar soon...

Oh, by the way, I guess you can see that I live in a town house, well, my Jeep got egged last weekend. Yah, I'm ticked off. The crazy person got the entire neighborhood. But luckily the only damage was on my front passenger fender flare. This is okay because I want bushwacker pocket style ones soon anyways, but still, my paint is stripped from where egg smeared down my flare. Guess that gives me an excuse to get new flares and have them linex lined in matching tan. I think the entire job is going to cost about $1000 bucks.
