I'm close to buying a 99 with 120K miles, and most of 'em $7k or more. Sounds like a good price for an '04 though I'm aiming for something closer to stock-- just don't trust too many mods!

This Jeep has 120,000 miles, automatic trans w/ a inline 6.
At 119,000 miles engine received new valve lifters, had a valve job done, head machined and new gaskets.
At 110,000 miles spark plugs were changed and a k&n filter was installed in factory air box.
It has D30 front and D35 rear axle with 3.73 gears.
The front axle has a Detroit Trutrac installed.
I have the carpet in but the floor has been bedlined.
It has extended fender flares w/ clear corner turn signal lights.
The top only 2 months old and the windows, when removed, can be stored in the top. The window are larger than normal so it then becomes a bikini top.
It has a 3in suspension lift w/ 1in body.
33x12.50x15 Gdyr Duratracs w/ 15x10 Eagle Alloy wheels. Tires have 6,000 miles on them. Spare is full size and is matching

HERE IS MORE INFO!

It's hard to give you an exact answer here.. If the kbb is spot on with the price they are asking, and taking into consideration the additions.. Then its worth the 10k. However.. That doesn't exactly say if its worth the 10k based on what you are gonna do with it. Personally though.. I would never buy any jeep without at least a Dana 44 in the back. But that's just because I know what I would do with it, lol.

I would hold out for one that didn't have to have major engine work done.. and had the dana 44 rear.

Welcome to the Forum

My biggest concern would be the rust. How much, how bad, and where? Is the bedlining covering up rust that couldn't be taken care of. Get under it and give it a good going over. Tap the frame and any other places that you see rust to make sure that it is just a surface issue.
