Welcome.
I would look into a YJ or a TJ

Depends all about your area, really. In my area a YJ (87-95) would be in the $4000-7000 range depending on options/mileage/condition/modifications. A TJ (97-06) is anywhere from $6500-15000 once again depending on the factors above. A JK (07-Present) is $17000 on up. The 4 cylinders are underpowered for most, myself included. And the 4.0 are stone cold reliable. They will warrant more money to get a Jeep with that motor. The JKs had a 3.8 liter. And now have a 3.6 liter. If you can, get a 3.6 over the 3.8, you can read about why the new motor is far superior. If I were you I'd go for a TJ because of the Price and options you get. TJs are a good mix of comfort and simplicity.

My favorite Wranglers are '01-'04 TJs with 4.0L I6. Why? Reliability and simplicity.
