Talking Im new and Ready!

hey ya'll
im contemplating if i should get a used jeep wrangler i dont know exactly which one...but that has most of the modifications "gear" to go light off-roading(new to the scene)since i like going hiking here in the inland empire california.....or a used one with hardly any modifications OR just a stock and build from there?
what would be best?
maybe and idea of which wrangler i should start looking into.
please and thank you.

I recently got my first 97 tj sport jeep wrangler with 85000 miles for around 6500 and it was stock but had 2 inch suspension and 33 inch tires. But yeah just buy any nice jeep and fix it up and do mods to t yourself :] (you get the satisfaction lol]

A TJ or LJ would be a great start, it really depends on your budget and if your going to use it for a daily driver. Lots of good used jeeps out there.

Welcome to the WF! I would start small (unmodified) and go from there. Take your time! Drive it to the places you want to go and see how it performs without any mods and you may discover you don't need half of what you thought you might!

I ended up getting a 2004 sport automatic(I know it's not manual)
It has 64000 miles on it
My sister helped me get it so I don't know that much in depth about it other than it runs well and is in excellent shape
