Jeep Specs (4 or 6 cyl) (5spd or Auto),etc.

I'm still looking for a Jeep. I would appreciate opinions as to whether you would suggest a 4 or 6 cyl, 5spd or auto, AC or no AC, full or half doors, hard or soft top, etc.. Pros/cons? Considering a jeep for road use...not offroad use.

Is the 4 cyl sluggish up hills??
Does 6 cyl use a lot more gas??
5spd seems like the thing for a Jeep, but Auto seems easier??
AC would be nice in rainy weather??
Full doors w/windows seems nicer??
Hard top taken off and put a bikini top on??

95 model w/older dash or 97 or newer w/new dash??

Suggestions??

Thanks!!

I would say 6cyl, but could get by with 4cyl if you leave it stock.
Definatley a/c.
full doors and hard top are great. I do just that and leave the hardtop off in summer and run safari top.
and I would go manual, but I guess sense you are not doing any off roading its whatever you prefer.
Good Luck with your decision.
