Arrow Looking at the New Wrangler World!

Drove CJ2, Willys Overland, & J2000 lots of miles over the years.....years ago when the earth was young and the crust was still cooling.

Many of the best times I had were a result of trying to get un-stuck, un-broke down, or un-lost from my lost youth on Jeep Patrol.

Just retired, looking at the new Wranglers. Lordy, they got AIR CONDITIONING, GPS, & adjustable seats!!! What's next?

My My.....Life is Good!

Welcome to the forum! I was talking to an older jeeper a couple of weeks ago and he was looking at my 2010 Unlimited Sahara. He couldn't believe all the stuff it had in it, and couldn't believe you could ride in it without breaking your back. He told me that Monday morning he was going to the dealer to get one himself.

My first Jeep experience was a 45 CJ2...many decades ago.

I learned a lot about the Universe and my place in it with that basic creature guiding much of my efforts for a couple years.

The 54 Overland Willys is a classic I would buy if new factory running gear were available. Loved the configuration.

The J2000 "Brutus" 401 was a earthshaking bone rattling kidneys-to-mush monster that finally committed his final sin in my driveway. After multiple failures to run, stopping in mid-trip, extensive multiple diagnostics in 2 states, and a tow bill approaching $800 (on dry pavement yet) he refused to even 'click'. Everything had been checked multiple times. Gross failure, traded it off on a GMC 4x4. Still appreciate the virtues, but reliability is Job ONE for my needs.
