Minneapolis, MN Newbie

Hey guys,
I have had my Jeep since July 18th 2012, but finally posting a NewBie Forum. I have received a lot of great advice and learned a LOT from the Jeep forum. I am originally from Rice Lake Wi, then was in Fergus Falls MN, then Fargo ND then off to Kansas City MO for ten years and now back in Minneapolis MN. I am a freak that loves Winter.

I just traded my trusty 2000 Nissan Xterra (172xxxx) for the Jeep so I am hoping to get that much life outta this rig. Paula at Fury in St.Paul was amazing. Walser was Horrific.. I even live by that place!

I also sport a 05 Acura TL Aspec. Wave if ya see me

So far I have tinted the front windows 20%, had the besttop tinted windows put on, got rid of the steel wheels and upgraded to Sahara tires, put in Polk speakers front and rear with dynamat & PolyFill, infinity basslink, & yakima sparetime. I am waiting on my Truck-lites to arrive next week and will snap some pics of the before/after and installs for you guys. I am really spoiled from the TL's headlight output so wanted something CLOSE to that in the Jeep without adding Ballasts.

In the future, I want Mopar PowderCoated Tailight Guards (trying to find some under the dealer cost) a 3inch lift, perhaps get the mb72 rim with 33 inch duratecs, replace the bumpers, add rock sliders etc.. This cars been a BLAST!

Thanks guys!
Joel

Heres the Yakima Sparetime. I highly recommend it! Easy install and looks GREAT!

The Acura gets real mad when I pull it outside when i am too lazy to put the top back up on the jeep. Wish my landlord would let me rent two garage spaces haha

You aren't the only person that's had a bad experience with Walser lately. I did as well and bought from Bloomington. A co-worker had the same issue and bought from Brookdale. I don't know what the hell is wrong with Walser, but I'd like to go there for service because I work nearby.

my sales gal was super nice.. the female sales manager was very nice too.. but the finance guy was an ASShole.. He was belittling me because I thought about leasing. He was so condescending that other customers were watching us quarrel. I was ready to sign on the dotted line too but walked out. Then he called me later on to tell me he "had a bad day and had been working a lot and was sorry for his tone..... SPshshshs" I will never go back there again and I LIVE closer to walser so service would be closer, but so far Fury *where i purchased* has been a dream to work with. Matt, in their service department is super friendly and efficient and even hooked me up with 6 free oil changes for me having to come out there twice for my windows to get replaced with tinted ones. LOVE THEM.

Welcome bud!!

Jeep looks great and man I am jealous of that TL. We should get some local cruises together some time. I don't want to trail too hard until next summer since this has to be a reliable DD for the winter :P

I had TintPros do it. Mention me and I think you can get it done for like 70$
