Moving to Africa, Need Advice

I'm in the military and we're headed to South Central Africa this Fall for my next assignment. I'm selling my Volvo XC60 because it's going to be much too fragile to drive out there. I'm looking at buying a Wrangler to take down there. Life-long CJ fan, but I need something solid and dependable off road.

If you had 35K, which Wrangler would you buy, and what would you add on to it in order to survive 3 years South of the equator? I have no idea where to begin other than I know it needs to be white.

Any suggestions?
