My intro.

2008 Sahara Unlimited with 4-inch lift. Currently sitting on stock wheels (18") and tires (32"). New wheels/tires planned in the near future. Just contemplating sizes. Thinking 18x9 and 305/65/18. Opinions welcome.

Primary use will be a daily driver. Off road use will be minimal/occasional. For those of you who are wondering why I wouldn't go for a bigger tire, the lift was installed by the previous owner. I'm not really looking for max size tire, just something that looks good and doesn't cost a fortune. I think a 12" x 34" tire fits that bill. Again, opinions welcome.

It's often been said, here abouts, that it will be cheaper in the long run to go with a smaller wheel and what ever tires you are looking for.
(285/75R16 for example)

I'm still trying to decide for myself.

I did look into smaller wheels but I'm pretty set on a tire in the 34"-35" range. The best price that I have found is the Falken Rocky Mountain ATS in 305/65/18 for $217 at Discount Tire Direct. I was a little skeptical about the reliability of the Falken brand but they seem to be getting decent reviews for an All Terrain. Also, I do like the look of the larger wheel. If my use of the vehicle was going to be different, I'm sure that I'd approach this differently.
