Smile Nebie from Texas

I am about to buy my 1st jeep, hope some people can help with some answers to my questions..

The jeep I am looking at is
2000 Jeep Wrangler 4.0 sport 4x4
Inline 6 with 102,191 miles
Softtop
Stick

Any problems with this yr, Like I said this will be my first Jeep ever. Usualy drive 4x4 trucks..

Gas mileage I know will be bad BUT still want it...
Is there any reason I should not buy this model for my first jeep

Is is $ 7500

thanks,

Hey welcome to the forum! If the jeep is mechanically sound and in good condition i'd say thats about right for a starting price. I'd negotiate down a little though as the asking price is above kelly blue book value for that model and year. I'd say if you could get it for about 6500-7000 it would be a good deal. Yellow too, alot of guys on here would applaud your color choice

Good luck!

It's really not hard to do once you do it once or twice. It probably takes me about 3 mins to take it off and about 10 to put it back on.

my husband had a 2000 sport and he had no problems with it. you should be fine, just be sure to check everything over and make sure it runs ok before you fork over the dough

Sounds like a fair price. But always try to get them to go down a little more. Check it all over good. If it's been taken care of the 4.0 motor is pretty solid.
good luck
