Need to learn! :)

Hi everyone,

I'm new to Jeeps and the forum, but my daughter (a sophomore in high school) has been bitten by the Jeep bug, and she asked me if we can buy an old project Jeep and fix it up. I generally fix and maintain my own vehicles (minor repairs), but I don't pretend to be an expert. She's saving up her money to split the cost with me, so I've got a few months to learn everything I can about Jeeps.

Can anybody recommend any books or anything I can read to get started?

Make friends with Google, everything's on the internet.

That being said, it seems like 90% of the time that I Google a problem, it directs me back here to Wrangler Forum. We have allot of really smart members here. I recommend checking out the forum areas for the various model years. Probably every question you could possibly ask, has been asked, and answered at least once. If you can't find it by searching, feel free to ask questions. Sure, there are people here that may mess with you (hey, it's the internet) but out of all the Jeep forums out there, I think this one has the most helpful people.

Good luck with your search.

In the mean time, I just like to say . . .

Welcome to the forum!
