Talking New '94 4.0 Owner

Hello All-

I've been trolling the forums for quite a while now and using you guys for all of your Wrangler knowledge, so I though I'd finally say Hi.

Last week I bought a '94 4.0 Wrangler SE for wht I think is a great deal. It came with a blown head gasket, which took me (and my father) about 16 hours to repair (spread across 4 days). While we had everything apart, we had the cylinder hear resurfaced and rebuilt, replaced the pushers, thermometer and a bunch of other little things.

Engine turned over first try once we got everything back together and so far sounds great. I still have a lot of work ahead as the interior is kinda thrashed and there are tons of mysterious cords coming out from under the dash.

Anyway, my first question is this - From the attached photo, can anyone tell what the height of the lift is? Its sitting on 33'' tires. I'm new to all this but when i look under the car the lift looks like is pretty rusty / 100 years old. Took it on the freeway for the first time yesterday and felt like I was gonna bounce out of the Jeep, not to mention the car was really hard to control and it was difficult to get it over 60. Could this be a result of the lift being installed incorrectly, or just worn out?

Thanks for any help!
