Hey everybody just found this app...and I already have a question... I just went out to start my 94 yj and it wouldn't start... It made a few quiet clicks and that's it... I just replaced my starter... Battery and alternator fairly new as well...what else can it be?
Relay. Short. Some starters especialy remanufactured are toast on arrival. You can pull it and have advance test the starter. They strap it in and juice it. Lose ground.. hmm. Didn't pay attention to your location. But if your battery is low. And it gets very cold. Maybe it killed tour battery
I always suggest cheapest first.
Check your battery posts and the connectors to make sure that they are corrosion free. Any amount of corrosion can have this effect on you battery. When replacing the cables make sure that they are reallllllly tight. You should not be able to move them with your bare hands at all.
Check your cables for wear or breaks.
Check your ground wires.
You might also want to take your battery and have it load tested at a local autoparts store.

Yeah I was thinking I got a bad starter... I didn't have a chance to try to jump start it but I have power so I don't think it has anything to do with the battery... I just got my new starter about 2 weeks ago so I am thinking that the starter must be the problem... I live in cali and it is raining but its not that cold
I looked into it more and my battery cables were loose... I didn't have the tools at my gfs house to tighten them so I just jump started it and drove home... These terminals keep going loose and they are a pita to tighten so ima get some new ones and call it a day... Thanks everyone
