New from CT

Hello all. Finally picked up my JK, on 1-1-13. A 2012 Unlimited, True Blue, Freedom Edition, and am loving it. The Forum has been great...lots of very helpful information. Does anyone have any recommendations for good 4 x 4 or Jeep only clubs in CT or New England? Thx in advance!

Same here....its one thing to have the Jeep covered with mud or trail mess.....but this salty, crummy winter mix is downright discouraging. Looking forward to the nice weather, some pipe doors and a bikini top. She'll be a hard top for most of the year.

Many thanks....love driving it, bought a six speed....and its been waaaaaaay too long since I drove a stick on a regular basis.......hope the clutch survives my re-learning how to drive! Also hope they have gotten beefier over the years since I recall driving one daily!!

I'm already counting the days until I take the hard top off and put the soft top on. Normally I do it the first weekend in April

Man does that sound like a plan! I was never a big fan of the winter (yeah I know, I live in New England!), but now I have even more reason to look forward to it ending. Been thinking about what kind of top to get since I bought it...any recommendations?

That was smart....I bought mine off of the lot, so it had what it had....though I guess I could always get the Mopar top after the fact. I kinda like the Quadratec fastback type soft top. Saw one last year on a JK, and it looked pretty sweet.

Many thanks for that gracious offer. Are you a member of any local Jeep or 4 x 4 clubs? Any you could recommend?
