New from Indiana

Well looking at getting a bigger vehicle, trading in the Ram 2500 Diesel and looking at Tj's. (need something that seats more than 2) Thought I would start doing the research on the Jeeps, not sure how far away this is from being a reality, I've been driving 80 miles a day for the last 2 years for work, but should drop to 20 miles at the start of the year. A buddy got me hooked on his a few years back, letting me drive around his APEX Edition.

Done a little leg work already, kind of know what I would like to get, TJ, Full Door, I6, Auto (never owned one, keeps the GF's from borrowing them) They don't get great MPG (the 900rr get 40+ so who cares) the mod bug hits pretty hard, they ride rough. All things I've thought about, and none are a deal breaker for me.

Reasons why, top & doors off in the summer, fun to play in, need something that will get me where I want off-road (it won't be a big trail rig, just some of my family & her's in the winter are hard to get to with out 4x4)

Bonus stuff: Can take the GF & dog someplace together without them fighting for the window seat, fits in the garage even with her car, heck fits in more than 8 parking spots in the parking garages downtown Indy.

Welcome! If you are looking for something that will carry passengers you might consider the new 4 door. Our backseat is pretty much useless. No one in my family really fits too well back there. lol

Same here,
My backseat is about useless.
My son is 6'2" and my daughter is over 5 ft so it is a bit of a squeeze for the back seat, but a whole lotta fun take the top down and cruisemakes it feel bigger. welcome I am a newb as well

Thanks everyone for the welcome. Yeah the backseats are pretty small, kind of forgot about that. Not a problem, the family is the GF, Boxer dog, and me. Still it has to be better than when I had to carpool with 2 other guys, in a standard cab 6-speed truck.

Welcome to WF
The 4 door fits our life best. The back seats are
easy to get to and if the dogs are with the seats
can fold up a little. With all doors off even the back
seat people get the feeling of freedom.

Welcome,
I have an 06 unlimited and I took out the back seat, now I have alot of room for my 2 dogs and 1 passenger.
The rear seat is easy to remove and put back in.

Welcome.

Young kids fit just fine in the back seat. Mine are both under 13. I've sat in back, it's not as bad as my old '72 Mustang.
