Im new to this forum and to Jeeps. I just bought a 2003 Jeep Wrangler X. This is the story of the old man next door that wants to sell his jeep and it has low miles. My new Jeep only has 10000 miles on it. Thats were my question comes in. Do I need to service the diff's because it has not been used? He told me he has never put it in 4wd.
First thing I'd do is take it in the grass.. and put put it in 4-hi and 4-lo to get those factory juices flowing. I always say it never hurts to change every fluid when you buy a used automobile, but realistically.. 10,000 says it probably doesn't need it.
