New from NY with a ??

Just bought my first Wrangler about 2 weeks ago. 98 Sahara with about 67,000 miles on it. I can honestly say I am already in love with it! Just a quick question for all experienced Jeepers out there. Just got my hands on a factory bikini top combo (top, windjammer and tonneau). I have been looking into a few different things and have come across some "door surrounds" that would seem to close in the gap in the corner of the doors. Is this feasable or just something that isn't really needed? I am just wondering due to rain and such.

That is a picture I found on Quadratec and it seems to be the right thing. Any suggestions? Thanks!!!

Welcome!

Welcome to the Forum! Though I have never owned a bikini top, et.al., I am certain you'll get some answers soon from those who have. This site is simply the best resource for everything Jeep you'll ever find. Again, welcome!

Thanks hmenker!

So I was just looking at the pictures and doing some more digging and now I feel like an idiot. Since my Sahara has a soft top, I believe it already HAS the door surrounds (you can tell I'm a newbie I know). So if I'm right, someone please tell me!

Welcome! The TJ in the picture has door surrounds. I have the same set up on my TJ, and there are gaps in the front corners and in the rear. If it rains and I am out (and have my doors and windows on) I stuff trash bags in the corners to help keep the water out. Also top props are available to keep the water from pooling in the center of your bikini (Not hard to make your own either). Since Spring has sprung here in Texas, my doors and windows are stored, so the gaps don't make any difference any more, I just tilt the seats up to keep most of the rain off and keep trash bags to sit on if the seats get wet.

Thanks a lot jjseel.. I'll be sure to bring some trash bags or grocery bags with me if it's a questionable day
