New From TEXAS

I'm new to this whole thing...and I love it. I've wanted a Jeep since I was 16 and my wife told me to go for it this year (she is pretty cool most of the time). So here I am trying to figure out exactly what I want to do to my TJ. Its a 99 with a 4.0, 5 speed, and only 80,000 miles. The Jeep looks and drives brand new. I've never had a vehicle that feels more right than my Jeep. It is kind of like a Golden Retriever. Faithful not complicated, and doesn't ask for much. Right now its asking for a lift and bigger tires. So give me your opinion. I'm thinking a rubicon express 2 inch lift with 31x10.50s or maybe 32x10.50s with a 1 inch body lift and the RE lift. Oh yeah My jeep has the Dana 44 rear axle option with the limited slip and 3.73 gears (thats why I don't want to go bigger than 32, I don't want to regear.)

Welcome to the forum!
JP magazine list this guide for tire sizes.

Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.

Yeah, its my DD. I have an 8 mile commute. I plan on doing moderate trails, but nothing too serious. Thats why I think I'm going for the 31's. Thanks for all the input.

mrcarcrazy-I live in New Caney. A small north Houston town.

Welcome brother ...RE is an excellent lift kit. Just had the 3.5" put in mine. IMO --go for the 3.5" lift at least.
