New girl from PA

Hey all... After all these years of owning a Jeep Wrangler, I thought I would finally do the Jeep forum thing. I just bought a 2008 Jeep Wrangler X four door 4x4 and I love it! The only problem is that it doesn't have cruise for my longer highway trips. Anyone know if it can be installed and if so for how much?

I had cruise added to a 91 Acura Integra, and I've seen aftermarket kits and dealer installed accessory kits as well. It may not be in the factory location, but it can most likey be added. I'm not 100% sure on your specific Jeep if it's available, but I'd start by inquiring at your parts counter at your local dealer. Other places specializing in aftermarket accessories could likely do it for less.

Mine actually did. I was shocked to find my Jeep (used) with A/C, tilt, cruise, and intermittent wipers. None of my other Jeeps had any of these.

They do! I aint got one tho.. =(

I don't know about Jk's but the kits for TJ's are expensive enough for me to invest into a flip flop that fits perfectly between my pedal and floor pan.

I can't say for sure on the JK's, but most stuff Chrysler builds you can add cruise to for no more than a couple hundred bucks, just like the factory setup. A few years ago, I had it added to a Wrangler, and a few XJ's.

Welcome!

Welcome to the best of the best when it comes to Jeep Wrangler Forums. Often duplicated but never as good as this one. Glad to have you along for the "crawl." BTW, my 2005 came with cruise control but I never use it. Check out Quadratec or 4-Wheel Drive Hardware for the possibility of an add-on. Again, welcome to the "zoo."

Well consider yourself lucky you're not me, I have the worst luck in the world when it comes to working on my JK. You should see the scars on my knuckles

Good luck though, if you do decide to put it on yourself! Don't hesitate to post up a question you have about installing it, I'm sure anyone on here would be more than willing to give ya some suggestions
