Welcome - Nice purchase - You are going to find a ton of helpful folks on here to answer all of your questions as thing come up. You will also find tons of cool things that you never would have thought about previously. Also - where are you from? Check out WF Local Forums for Your Region and State - Jeep Wrangler Forum to see if there are any offroad clubs groups in your area. That will also help as you will get to see many different set-ups and that can help you decide on what you like and don't like.

As for the size - I'm with the others on the Hardtop - might give it a little bigger look. If you are thinking it looks wider, it might be the color matched fender flares.

As for tops - it's all about what YOU are wanting to do with YOUR Jeep. If you are replacing your hardtop and selling it off - I would recommend buying a nicer more durable soft top - like the Bestop Supertop NX - it's their new one and comes complete with factory style hardware - also has the built-in sunrider feature. If you are only looking to store your hardtop for the summer, maybe you could go with a cheaper option. Because mine is not driven everyday, I take the Hardtop off for the late spring/summer/early fall and replace it with a Safari top and park it in the garage. On rainy days - I either don't drive it or I get a little wet

supertop nx vs bestop sunrider

Hi again,

Thanks again for all responses, this forum is awesome, I never used anything like this when I owned my focus or my volvo

Anyway, I'm just curious about which soft top to get. I was all set on getting 2 soft tops, the best top sunrider because i really want the flexibility and easy up, easy down features that it has. And 2, the bestop sailcloth soft top, for my everyday use.

I am planning to keep my hard top but I probably wont use it very often, if at all so I was planning for the sunrider to be my summer top and the bestop sailcloth top as my daily driver top. So my question is: Is the supertop nx a combination of these 2 tops. will the supertop nx be completely convertible like the sunrider is??

Oh boy-this will be interesting-your questions are good-but as MBRich mentioned you need to make it your own---Not saying you are not trying to and there are a lot of different ways to go with the tops--but it will get more confusing before it gets better. Maybe it would help if you gave us a little more information. Is your Jeep garaged? I may have missed it but what area of the country are you in? Is it "safe" to leave it parked on the street with the top open? Or off? Will it sit outside all day in the sun with the top down or off? Do you want one you can quickly throw up and down? I am sure there are many more questions but it has to do with your use and needs more than anything. Good Luck!!

I just have never heard of someone having a summer soft top and then a daily driver soft top... You really only need 1 soft top and figure out which one suits your needs the most switching all the soft top hardware around would a pain in the butt I'd think... I'd say you need 1 soft top and your hard top and maybe a bikini top

Yes. The supertop Nx will fit the bill. No need for two soft tops.

Hi all,

Im loving my jeep but I have run into an issue. While driving i feel a distinct wobble. I at first thought that was just a regular wobble, which leads me to my first question. Does the wrangler wobble normally, especially when going over bumps in the road?

Now at least twice while driving the front end just started to shake/rattle violently. I was about to pull over when it just suddenly stopped. Does this sound like the death wobble to you guys?

Can anyone reccomend a good repair shop in Los Angeles (west side, if possible) that really knows wranglers, that can check it out at a reasonable price?

Final question, i am currently on 30x9.5 tires, psi at 34. Are there larger/wider tires that would help it to feel more stable on the road and less wobbly?

Thanks all.

I love it and am happy to finally be a jeep girl, but I want to nip any issues in the bud before they get much bigger.

Double check with some of the other members but I would guess your tire pressure is about 4-8 pounds to high. There are other ways to figure out the air pressure for your tires. If they are not balanced properly that can lead to a wobble. There is a long list but the tire and air pressure are usually the simpliest easiest fix. Good Luck

Check the Death Wobble thread its a sticky read the whole thing Jerry gets into the particulars after tires are eliminated.
