Alright guys, here's my story:
I just got a job as a teacher/coach about 50 minutes away from my house. I drive a Ford F150 super crew v8, which gets about 16 mpg hwy. I have decided to sell the f150 and get a jeep!!! I've always liked jeeps, and when I discovered that I could improve my gas mileage with a jeep wrangler sport, the decision was made. I hope to be a jeep owner in the near future.
I will use this jeep mainly for driving back and forth to work and maybe go down a dirt road every now and again. Though I want it to be a primarily hwy vehicle with acceptable gas mileage, I still want my jeep to be aesthetically pleasing
Here are my ideas. I want a used (but in good condition) black 2010 2dr jeep wrangler sport. If I can find this jeep, I would also like to add some on/off road tires and some 18' pro comp metal mulisha Brian Deegan rims. I understand that this will be a costly addition, but I have a few questions regarding these additions:
First and foremost, where is the best place to find a jeep close to the specs listed above?
What are some good, and cheap, on/off-road tires that will accept an 18' rim?
Where can I get these tires?
Will this tire/wheel combination decrease my mpg? By how much?
If I can make this happen, along with a few other accessories, I will have a ride that I can be proud of. Help me out if you get a chance. Thanks.
