New Guy from Vegas

Hey guys,

I just bought my first Jeep Wrangler earlier this week and was informed of this site. I figured I would check it out and maybe learn a thing or two about my new toy!

I'm totally green when it comes to Jeeps or any other moving vehicle for that matter. So, bear with me while I continually make myself look like an idiot. I'm sure it'll give a few of you a decent laugh.

I live in Las Vegas, which as a lot of you know, has plenty of places to take your Jeep offroad. I'm not sure how often I'll do that to be honest, but I would love to hit some light trails once in awhile.

Well, I'm off to learn a few things and see if I got a deal or not on my Jeep. Have a good one guys!

Trying to see what a deal I got on my Jeep! I'm hoping you guys can help me. Which sub-forum should I post pics and a description in? I'm not selling it, just would like to know a little more about the value?

Welcome! It depends what model you have (JK, TJ, YJ, CJ), or you can always go with the General Discussion section.

BTW: Nice avatar, I'm a big fan of the 19.

Thanks! It's a YJ.

My daily carry is a 19 Gen4. But that's my USPSA gun. 34 Gen4 with Sevigny Comp sights and a Ghost Ultimate trigger kit in it. It has probably seen 5k rounds in the last seven months and still looks brand new.

I may have to ad some bling. First I have to learn how to drive it!

Yes, that's right...I don't know how to drive stick, and I bought one anyway! I figured there would be no better way to force myself to learn than to spend $4k on something I couldn't use until I got off my ass!

Another person to be jealous of. Not many off road sites here on Long Island. In fact, there's the beach, and, um, the beach!

Hey, I'm from Long Island myself!!! North Merrick to be exact. Also lived in Long Beach and Point Lookout for awhile.

I miss it out there.

I can cure that. Sit in your car for half an hour in a parking lot, complaining about the traffic not moving.

Welcome! If you wanna hit some trails let me know. I'm still learning where the trails and off-roading spots are myself.
