New guy looking to buy wrangler

Hey guys i have been looking at this 1991 Wrangler 4.0L auto that a friends owns. Ive heard nothing but great things about the motor. It has 118,000 miles and the chasis is pretty much rust free, it has some surface rust starting to bubble the paint at some of the body bushing mounts. The body has some rust on the bottom of both front fenders by the rockers. It also has a semi new (2 yrs) Western snow plow on it as well. Tires are also all brand new. I am going to take it for a ride tomorrow see how it feels. He wants $3,500 total for truck and plow i was gunna offer $3,000. Do you think its worth that and what should i look for with these since i know nothing about them like transmission and engine wise. I do work for a body shop and doin body work is nothing for me, i can do light mechanical work like suspension, ball joints, oil, water pump, rad, etc. if needed.

This Wrangler would basically be snow plowing only. Not Daily Driving. But i rather use it for winter driving and keeping the miles off my 2012 Ram. I did not wanna destroy that truck so i figured spend the money on an older truck with plow on it already and use that

Thanks guys!!
