New here.

I've got a '95 with a 5 speed and a 4 cylinder. Unfortunately, I ain't been able to drive it yet because I can't drive a stick shift (I just got it yesterday).

I've got two questions. First, how do you switch into 4wd? It looks like the previous owner replaced the 4wd selector and the gearshift with one that doesn't have a shift pattern on it. Second, does anyone know what the green switch on the right side of the steering wheel is for?

Thanks.

Howdy Hero. Welcome to the madness.

Put it in neutral and just pull back on the 4wd shift lever. First stop is High second stop is Low.

Is it an aftermarket switch? My 95 doesn't have that animal.

If the previous owner added fog lights that might be what the green switch is for.

About the green switch, I don't think the Jeep had fog lights, but it did come with a metal bar laying in the back. It looks like kind that you would mount lights on. So my guess is that's what it was for.
